1. Acceptance of Terms
Caffy is a social platform for recording and sharing cafe experiences. By using Caffy, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Caffy
- Users under 18 should use Caffy with consent from a parent or guardian
- Registration information must be accurate and kept up to date
- Each person may create only one account
- You are responsible for managing your password and account security
3. User Content
Users retain copyright in photos, reviews, ratings, and other content they post. By posting content, you grant Caffy a non-exclusive license to display, store, distribute, create thumbnails or compressed versions, and use the content to promote the service with appropriate attribution where applicable.
- Allowed content includes cafe reviews, ratings, photos, visit dates, comments, menu information, tags, and companion information
- Prohibited content includes illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, infringing, false, privacy-invading, spam, obscene, or discriminatory content
4. Fees and Paid Features
Caffy is free to use. All in-app features, including posting, search, and map display, are available without additional charges.
- Caffy currently offers no paid plans, paid-only features, or in-app purchases
- There are no monthly fees, annual fees, or auto-renewals
- If paid features are offered in the future, their content and pricing will be clearly shown in advance
5. Prohibited Conduct
- Violating laws or public order
- Harassing, defaming, threatening, or stalking other users
- Infringing intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
- Posting or spreading false information
- Spam, advertising, or commercial solicitation
- Unauthorized access, hacking, or reverse engineering
- Using bots, scrapers, or other automated tools
- Creating multiple accounts or impersonating others
- Interfering with service operation
6. Content Removal and Account Suspension
Caffy may remove content that violates these Terms, is reported as inappropriate, or is subject to a copyright infringement claim. Accounts may be suspended or deleted if violations, repeated violations, unauthorized use, or long-term inactivity are confirmed.
7. Intellectual Property
The service, application, logo, design, software, algorithms, and related intellectual property belong to Caffy or their rightful owners. Users retain copyright in their own posted content.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
- The service is provided as is, without warranties of completeness, accuracy, usefulness, or reliability
- Caffy is not responsible for the accuracy of cafe information, disputes between users, or failures or changes in third-party services
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Caffy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
9. Changes or Termination of Service
Caffy reserves the right to change, suspend, or terminate all or part of the service without prior notice.
10. Privacy
Handling of personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance for disputes related to the service or these Terms.
12. Changes to These Terms
Caffy may update these Terms as needed. Important changes will be announced in the app or by email.
