Caffy collects the following information to provide the service.

1.1 Account information

• Email address (required)
• User name and handle
• Authentication provider information such as Apple ID or Google ID

1.2 Profile information (optional)

• Profile photo and background image
• Bio text
• Age range
• Gender

1.3 Location information

• Current location coordinates used for nearby cafe search and map display
• Cafe location information saved when posting
• Location is collected only while the app is in use; Caffy does not perform background tracking

1.4 Photos and media

• Photos taken with the camera
• Photos selected from the photo library for posts
• Up to 10 photos per post and up to 10 MB per image

1.5 Post content

• Cafe reviews and ratings
• Visit dates and comments
• Menu information
• Tags and companion information

1.6 Usage history

• Search history
• Post viewing history, which may include IP address and user agent
• Likes, saves, and follow history
• App and theme settings

1.7 Billing and purchase information

• Caffy currently does not offer paid plans or in-app purchases
• Caffy does not collect purchase status, purchase history, or payment method information

Collected information is used for the following purposes.

• Providing core features such as cafe posts, reviews, and ratings
• Nearby cafe search and map features
• Social features such as friends, likes, and saves
• Personalized recommendations
• App improvements and bug fixes
• User support
• Responding to legal requests

Caffy shares information with the following third-party services only as necessary to provide the service.

3.1 Supabase

• Shared information: user data such as accounts, posts, and photos
• Purpose: database, authentication, and storage services

3.2 Google Maps / Places API

• Shared information: current location and search queries
• Purpose: map display, cafe search, and location services

3.3 Authentication providers

• Apple Sign-In: Apple ID, email address if provided, and name if provided
• Google Sign-In: Google ID, email address, name, and profile photo if provided
• Information is shared only during authentication

Caffy does not sell users' personal information to third parties.

Depending on your privacy settings, the following information may be visible to other users.

• Public profile: user name, profile photo, and bio
• Public posts: cafe reviews, photos, ratings, menu information, and location information
• Social information: friend lists, likes, and saves depending on settings

Visibility can be set to public, friends only, or private.

• All communications are encrypted using HTTPS
• Database data is stored with encryption
• Row-level security limits users to their own data
• Passwords are stored using secure hashing
• Access permissions are limited to the minimum necessary

• Account information: retained until account deletion
• Post data: retained until the post or account is deleted
• Search history: retained until account deletion, with manual deletion available

Caffy may collect post view history, search queries, likes, saves, and similar engagement data to improve the service.

Caffy does not use third-party analytics tools or advertising SDKs. Data collection is used only to improve in-app functionality.

Caffy is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Users can view, edit, and delete their data, manage privacy settings, and change notification settings.
